SWLF 3736 EL – Critical Perspectives on Disability

This course examines the social implications of disability in Canadian society. In particular, it examines issues that impact on the well-being of persons with disabilities, including poverty, education, unemployment, violence and gender. Topics include the evolution of public policies, social programs, and the perspectives used by human service professionals to frame disability issues. Prerequisite: SWLF 1005 or NWLF 1005 (3 credits)
