April 2000 – SPAD Field Trip visits Lausanne and presents work to the IOC
June 2000 – Greg Zorbas resigns as SPAD Director. Kit Lefroy appointed as Acting Director
July 2000 – Bob Wanzel begins work on creating the SPAD Partnership Consortium for the development of the ISM
January 2001 – Kit Lefroy begins a second tenure as SPAD Director
July 2001 – ISM funding cycles and work begins
July 2005 – Laurentian University forms new Faculty of Management that contains two member Schools - SPAD and Commerce
October 2005 – Richard Pound is presented with a Honourary Doctorate in Sports Administration, the first such award from Laurentian University.
May 2006 – ISM Summit held in Toronto, ON where work of the Institute was presented to North American industry leaders
June 2006 – Kit Lefroy retires
July 2006 – Norm O’Reilly becomes Director of SPAD
August 2006 – SPAD offices re-located to the Fraser Building near the School of Commerce
