Laurentian University and Science North, Sudbury's highly respected science centre, have joined forces to offer a one year programme in the public communication of science.

 

Students take courses at Laurentian University and at Science North. The Science Communication Graduate Diploma Programme at Science North and Laurentian University covers subjects such as “Learning Theory”, “Science and Society”, and “Research Methods in Science Communication”. To gain experience in the practical aspects of communicating science to the public, students will develop projects in radio and television, on the internet, through live shows and with exhibits.

 

Courses are only offered in English but with the opportunity for dialogue in French in some courses and for practicum and project work in French.
