Welcome to Accessibility Services at Laurentian University. Our department provides many services for students with disabilities, and the coordination of various accommodations.

Our goals are to encourage awareness of various disabilitles, continue to innovate the campus and educate the community in regards to issues of accessibility and to help students self-advocate and develop skills for a self-sufficient lifestyle.

Our support staff is pleased to offer:

  • Assistive technology
  • Learning skills / Learning strategies
  • Accommodations for tests and exams
  • Assistance with bursaries and OSAP applications
  • Writing assistance, tutors, and interpretation services.

As well, we are advocates within the community for individuals with disabilities and are overseeing Laurentian's implementation of standards under the Accessibility for Ontarios with Disabilities Act (AODA) which includes the formation of the Annual Accessibility Plan which continues to explore Laurentian's commitment to accessibility on campus and offers reccomendations for continued improvement.
